The wonderful lady in the picture is Uschi Viertel, 92 years young, very jolly and part of my in-progress series “The Essential”, in which I portray various residents of a retirement home and interview them.

And now she is part of the “Hope” exhibition of the Association of Photographers in London (AOP). She said at the photo session, “And then make me big, young man!”.
I’m very happy to do that.

I am very happy to be part of the exhibition, alongside with photographers like Kate Abbey, James Bell, Wendy Carrig, Dylan Collard, Matt Davies, Glyn Davies, Dvora, Jillian Edelstein, Louise Hagger, Karan Kapoor, Henrick Knudson, Catherine Losing, Gabrielle Motola, Florian Mueller, Dean Northcott, Carol Sharp, Kristina Varaksina, Antti Viitala and Robert Wilson.

The exhibition is a spotlight exhibition from February 4 until March 3 2021
